Sara received her MFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from Indiana University, and her BFA in 3-D Design with a concentration in Metals and Jewelry from Bowling Green State University. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, and has recently had work published in On Body and Soul: Contemporary Armor to Amulets and Narrative Jewelry: Tales from the Toolbox .
Her work, which integrates a variety of mediums and techniques, is largely influenced by and assembled from the examination of lived experiences. Sara is a co-founder and co-coordinator of the Smitten Forum, and she currently teaches metalsmithing and jewelry at Winthrop University in South Carolina.
